INGREDIENTS
- 4 Atoria’s Family Bakery Traditional Pita pockets
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 container (16 ounces) plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup seeded and chopped cucumber 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mint (optional)
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a medium bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt, chopped cucumber, dill, finely chopped onion, and mint if using. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, feta cheese, chopped onion, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently until just combined and form into four evenly sized burger patties.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Place two patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 14–16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the burgers are cooked through. Repeat with the remaining patties.
- Warm the Pita pockets in the oven, air fryer, or on a skillet for 1–2 minutes until slightly toasted.
- Place a turkey burger inside each Pita pocket, add lettuce and tomato, and spoon the cucumber yogurt sauce on top. Serve immediately.
