What allergens do your flatbreads contain?
All of our breads contain wheat. Our facility does not process any peanuts, shellfish, milk, eggs, fish, soy, or sesame. All allergen information can be found on the back of each product package.
What’s the best way to store your bread?
We suggest storing our flatbreads in the freezer for optimal shelf life and freshness. Our flatbreads defrost quickly! When ready to consume, pull out the flatbread either the night before or day-of, about an hour before you plan to make a recipe.
What’s the shelf life?
Upon arrival, flatbreads are good for 6 months in the freezer, 3 weeks in the refrigerator, and 7 days ambient. Consume within 4 days of opening.
What type of flour do you use?
All of our retail flatbreads use Non-GMO Project Verified, untreated flour, which means the flour is unbleached, unenriched, and unbromated.
I thought Lavash was a cracker?
Lavash flatbreads make an excellent cracker when baked. Here’s one of our favorite cracker recipes!
What is the best way to make a wrap?
To wrap like a pro, place all fillings on the half that is closest to you. Use a sealer spread like hummus, cream cheese, mayonnaise, etc. on the half that’s farthest from you. Roll it up tightly! You can slice your wrap into 1 inch sections to make pinwheels. Check out our Wrap Like a Pro overview for more tips here.
What’s the difference between Lavash and Tortillas?
Lavash is an excellent (less doughy and chewy) tortilla replacement. Lavash is fully baked and usually lower in sodium and oil. Due to Lavash’s rectangular shape, you can make easy, no-waste wraps and pinwheels.
How can I soften brittle Lavash?
Lavash may dry out over time. One simple fix is to sprinkle water, either with a spray bottle or by wetting your fingers and sprinkling water on the bread. We also recommend storing lavash in the freezer to help lock-in moisture.
Do you have gluten-free Lavash?
Not yet, but keep checking back.
Does your Sea Salt contain Iodine?
The sea salt we use does not have any added iodine to it whatsoever, though it does contain natural traces of iodine. Natural traces of iodine are below the amount required to be nutritionally significant, and far less than the daily requirement.
Do you make Kosher products?
All of our retail flatbreads are certified Kosher OU.
Which of your products are vegan?
Our bakery exclusively makes vegan products. We are certified vegan by Vegan.org.
What does Certified Vegan mean?
It means that we do not use any dairy or meat in our products, and we have gone through a certification process that affirms that we do not use any animal products or test on animals.
What are GMOs?
GMO is short for Genetically Modified Organism. GMOs are the source of genetically modified foods, which means some ingredients in food products have been genetically altered (to increase resistance to pests for instance). All of our retail flatbreads are Non-GMO Project Verified, meaning that they do not contain any GMOs.
What does the Non-GMO Project Verified symbol mean?
The Non-GMO Project is an independent organization that verifies whether a company's products are free of GMOs. All of our retail flatbreads are Non-GMO Project Verified, meaning that they do not contain any GMOs.
What are Oxygen Absorbers?
We have started packing our flatbreads with non-ferrous (non-iron) tablets containing Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and Activated Charcoal. While not meant to be consumed, the tablets are FDA-compliant and safe for food contact. The tablets help absorb oxygen and keep our flatbreads fresher longer, which allows us to continue to bake without any artificial preservatives!
What are the Enzymes in your bread?
Enzymes are used in the baking process to create reactions between the ingredients, which turn the product into bread (ex: breaking up starch into sugar). They are 100% plant-based, organic, and certified vegan.
