Gyro Smash Tacos

Mediterranean street food made easy. Warm Atoria’s Traditional Pita cradles spiced lamb, crispy fries, fresh cucumber, tomato, and red onion, all topped with creamy tzatziki. Flavor-packed, satisfying, and ideal for dinner or an impressive snack.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 Atoria's Family Bakery Traditional Pitas
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • Ready-made fries
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt + pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook fries according to directions; set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground lamb with thyme, cumin, marjoram, garlic salt, lemon juice, and coriander.
  3. Spread ~1 tbsp of the seasoned lamb evenly onto each Pita.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high, place pita meat-side down, and cook 3 min until golden. Lower heat, cook 2 min more, then flip for 1 min.
  5. Spread tzatziki on top, add fries, cucumber, tomatoes, and onion. Drizzle with more tzatziki + coriander for garnish. Enjoy!
