Traditional Pita Bread Pudding

Traditional Pita Bread Pudding

Leftover Pita, reimagined. Torn pieces soak up cinnamon-kissed custard and bake into a golden, spoonable dessert.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 Atoria’s Family Bakery Traditional Pitas, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ⅓ cup sugar or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, berries, whipped cream

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly butter a baking dish.
  2. Add the torn Pita to the dish, spreading evenly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the Pita and gently press down to help it soak.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until puffed and lightly golden on top.
